Hello Rocket Fans - We are waiting on a decision from the NCHSAA regarding the potential Fall Sports Season. We will keep you updated as we are notified.
Our Booster Club has purchased 500 lightweight gator face coverings for our athletes and coaching staff to be worn during workouts. These are for everyone's safety. They can be pushed down around the neck during conditioning so breathing will not be restricted. BEFORE AN ATHLETE CAN PARTICIPATE IN PRACTICE THE COACH MUST: 1. Verify that the athlete is enrolled at ACR. 2. Verify that the athlete has a physical on file dated March 1, 2019, or later. 3. Verify that a hard copy of the Pre-Participation Medical History Form is complete and present with Athletic Trainer. 4. Verify that each athlete and staff member have a BCS Covid-19 Informed Consent Form on file. (signed by athlete & parent) 5. Verify that each athlete and staff member go through the mandated screening & sanitation process each day before allowing staff or athlete to take part in any activity. 6. Verify that all activities that occur follow the above guidelines. **Our school will have hand sanitizer available for our athletes and our custodial staff will be cleaning and sanitizing between practices. *** Locker rooms & the weight room will remain closed during this re-opening phase. Athletes will need to arrive dressed & ready for practice. **** Open bathrooms: gym lobby (only for athletes using gym), stadium (only for athletes using stadium), baseball (cross country) ALLOWED NUMBERS FOR EACH AREA: MAIN GYM & AUXILLARY GYM: 10 EACH (THIS INCLUDES ATHLETES & COACHES) OUTSIDE VENUES: 25 EACH (THIS INCLUDES ATHLETES & COACHES) At this phase of re-opening, we are asking for no spectators for any workout as this will put a team over the allotted number of participants and will jeopardize further practices. Parents are asked to drop off athletes for practice or remain in vehicles during this time. TEAM WORKOUT SCHEDULE: These are voluntary workouts. A plan for Entrance & Exit to facilities is designed to prevent groups from gathering and to limit crossover contact as well as staggering start and end times. Please follow for everyone's safety!! SOCCER: Tuesday, 6/16 9:30 -10:30 AM ; Wednesday, 6/17 6-7 PM Athletes should park or drop off in Senior Lot & enter the stadium through the main gate. Exit through players gate to Sr. Lot. VOLLEYBALL: Wednesday, 6/17 9-10 AM ; Thursday, 6/17 9-10 AM (2nd week of practice will be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9-10 AM) Athletes should park or drop off in Senior Lot & enter & exit through gym lobby doors) FOOTBALL: Monday, 6/15 4-5 PM Offensive & Defensive Lineman; 5-6 PM Skilled Position Players; 6-7 PM All Rising Freshmen Tuesday, 6/16 same schedule Thursday, 6/18 same schedule-----Athletes should park or drop off in Senior Lot and enter the stadium through the main gate. Exit through players gate to Sr. Lot. MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: Monday 6/15, Wednesday 6/16, Thursday 6/18 8-9 AM Athletes should park or drop off in Junior parking lot (close to cross country trail) WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY: TBA but will also have to be dropped off at Junior Lot. TENNIS: Will start later (July) CHEER: The practice schedule will be determined sometime after tryouts are finished & posted on 6/19. Tryouts for JV and Varsity will be held by video.
